Zanu-PF Youth League member Tafadzwa Mugwadi has described the country’s main opposition party MDC as weak and lacking a coherent strategy to win the forthcoming elections.

In a joint live broadcast on StarFM and CapiTalk FM, Mugwadi said MDC stands for nothing.
“MDC stands for nothing and they are not a strong opponent so Zanu PF is not worried about them,” said Mugwadi.
Mugwadi added: “MDC starts talking about Gukurahundi whenever we are approaching elections. It is wrong and they must not use that issue.”
He went to express concern on the political rhetoric by MDC about Zanu-PF rigging elections.
“Zanu PF has been accused of rigging elections by a party that has failed to win the majority votes. Rigging elections is a perspective that has been planted on MDC supporters by MDC leaders.” added Mugwadi.
Mugwadi put paid on the perception that Zanu-PF is a violent party.
“The history of political violence cannot be traced to Zanu PF.”
The live StarFM/CapiTalk FM debate pitted three politicians namely Eddie Cross (MDC-T), Tafadzwa Mugwadi (Zanu-PF) and Rufaro Kaseke (Independent) and was hosted by Ruvheneko Parirenyatwa.
